Funny Street Signs and Other Contextual Street Art Interventions by Michael Pederson

All over Sydney, in parks, in streets, and industrial areas, you’re likely to come across a lot of unusual signs. At first, they may look like average symbols of traffic regulations, helpful guides, warning and city services. However, if you look carefully, you’ll notice the difference. An artist Michael Pederson finds a joy in creating funny and thoughtful signs that mix into the city scenery. Pederson uses things like park benches or old furniture to share messages. These notes meant to remove a viewer from their daily routine, uplift their spirits and to reflect to the world from the different angle. You can see more of his installations on his Tumblr (via Thisiscolossal, Lustik, Junk Culture).
